New Patient Registration

The doctors welcome new patients who live within our practice area.  As it often takes sometime for records to be forwarded from your former practice all newly registered patients will be asked to complete a health questionnaire and are offered a consultation with the doctor.  Please provide copies of your regular prescriptions if these are available.

Medical treatment is available from the date of registration.  Please contact reception for further information.

Firstly, thank you for considering registering here at Glenroyd Medical.

Before registering it is important that we point out that the Doctors do not routinely or regularly prescribe the following types of medications:

  • Sleeping tablets or Tranquilisers
  • Preparations such as Zopiclone, Diazepam, Nitrazepam, Temazepam or other Benzodiazepines
  • Pregabalin
  • Tramadol
  • Fentanyl patches

The Doctors offer a medical help regime with a reduction programme for patients on medications such as these. The gradual reduction will take place over a maximum of 6 weeks and is medically recognised as safe and effective. By registering you will accept that you will put yourself into this programme and accept that you wish to abstain from these medications.
